First things first…we want to offer our heartfelt congratulations to the hurlers of the Louth County Panel who not lifted the Lory Meagher Cup this year, but also gained promotion to the Nicky Rackard Cup next season. This is a fantastic achievement for everyone involved with the Panel this season.
Allen had the pleasure of holding two Group Cohesion & Team Resilience sessions with the lads at the beginning of this journey. Great credit goes to every player and backroom staff member who attended these sessions, for their participation and resolution to work, not only as a group, but also on an individual basis to ensure that the overall team goals were met.
So what were the team goals? Yep you’ve guessed it…Win the Lory Meagher Cup and get promotion to the Nicky Rackard Cup for next season!!
As Allen explains, “The very first thing I say to any team I work with is that you can get that edge and achieve your desired goals if every player/coach/mentor can take personal responsibility to do what needs to be done for the overall good of the team. The Louth hurlers took these sessions on board and went with every aspect of the programme, and the results are there for all to see!”.
